For us, this is much more than a place to stay: it is the continuation of a family story that has cared for every detail for more than three decades. As pioneers of rural tourism in Alfafara, our aim has always been the same: to offer you a place where time stands still and you can breathe calm in every corner.

The family that owns Masía El Pinet
HISTORY AND LEGACY
From farmhouse to nobility · The story these walls hold
The masía was born in the 18th century as a genuine Valencian farmhouse. But the fate of its walls changed when it passed into the hands of one of the most distinguished families in the Valencia region.
My grandmother, Doña María Luisa Gil-Dolz del Castellar y Catalina, was a marchioness and the daughter of the Counts of Albalat i Els Sorells. It was then that the battlements that crown the estate today were built, giving it the unmistakable silhouette of an old castle you see as you arrive, and the coat of arms over the main entrance is the same one that has hung there ever since.
Staying at Masía El Pinet means living where farming roots meet an aristocratic past. That is something you can’t manufacture.
We were the first rural house in Alfafara, and we have been opening our doors for more than three decades. We have welcomed travellers from Australia, the United States, China, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France and more than twenty other countries, making this corner of the sierra known around the world.

The masía is made up of two independent houses connected from the outside, which are always rented together. Ideal for large groups who want complete privacy, with no other guests sharing the estate.

1.5 km from the centre of Alfafara and right on the boundary of the Sierra de Mariola Natural Park, protected for its exceptional biodiversity and known worldwide for its aromatic and medicinal plants. The sierra’s trails start from the estate itself.
